my stay was fantastic with a comfy room and a delicious breakfast spread that catered to my dietary needs. The central location made it easy to stroll to the beach and explore attractions like the Porthcawl Museum just a short walk away. with such delightful little extras and a friendly atmosphere, I felt truly welcomed throughout my visit, making it a memorable getaway.

We felt so welcomed with a glass of wine and delicious Welsh cakes upon arrival, it was a nice touch! The breakfast options were extensive and ohhh so tasty, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the spread prepared by Annette.

It wasn’t inexpensive, but for the experience we had, it was still quite reasonable.

Great location, comfy bed, and delicious breakfast. Parking nearby was a hassle though.

Staying in a deluxe double room boasts exquisite Italian Renaissance decor, making every corner a feast for the eyes. The complimentary wine upon arrival was a nice touch, and the extensive breakfast menu included a full Welsh that could keep you fueled for the day.

The steep stairs to the upper floor rooms might deter those with mobility issues, making access a bit of a challenge. Some rooms felt cluttered with decorations, impacting the overall spaciousness, and unfortunately, the lack of air conditioning could leave guests feeling warm during summer nights.

Arrived at Olivia House and felt welcomed right away. The decor is so unique and eclectic, each room has its own theme. I stayed in the Kings Room, featuring a magnificent rolltop bath. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making it hard to leave in the mornings. I appreciated the little extras like reading glasses, chocolates, and a fully stocked fridge with breakfast items. The lounge area was cozy, with complimentary snacks and beverages. The location is excellent, just a short stroll to the beach. One downside was the steep stairs. they could be problematic for anyone with mobility issues. Also, the mattress sagged a bit in the middle, which affected sleep quality. Overall, a delightful stay with character and charm, but could use some mattress upgrades.

My last stay in porthcawl was fantastic, but this time at olivia house exceeded my expectations for our anniversary. The quirky decor was charming, especially the roll top bath in our beautiful double room, perfectly cozy for a romantic getaway. Breakfast was delicious, featuring freshly baked croissants and a variety of fruit juices.

Wow, the Kings Room was a dream! 😍 The roll-top bath and comfy bed made my stay unforgettable. Just a bit of noise from the stairs, but everything else was superb. Breakfast spread was huge and delicious.
